Job Description

Chinook's Edge School Division invites applications for a full-time temporary Accounts Payable Technician at Division Office in Innisfail, effective immediately. The Accounts Payable Technician is an integral member of our Financial Services team and is responsible for significant contributions to the financial, corporate and business affairs of the division. The successful candidate will have strong computer skills in a variety of programs including Google Apps and Microsoft Office and accounts payable experience, with an understanding of accounting principles and complying with legislation, policies and procedures. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience in a related role. The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff members and deal courteously and tactfully with students, parents and staff. Proficiency with office and accounting software and excellent analytical abilities would be an asset.







The Accounts Payable Technician will perform a variety of accounts payable functions which may include: vendor payments, reimbursement of employee expense claims, trustee remuneration processing, visa processing and reconciliation for the division, records and processes accurate and complete financial and operational data and reports within established timeframes, ensure calculations for all accounts payable align with CESD procedures and policies, codes, totals, enters, and verifies accounts payable records in the computer software.
