Job Summary

This position is responsible for the templating and any related matters: visiting the job site, accurately measuring the base materials, and creating an accurate digital, physical or measured template. Templator is a checkpoint between sales and production and plays a key customer service role.

Colonial Countertops provides company vehicle, fuel and all required tools.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Measure and digitize profiles for manufacturing countertops at the specified job sites Document the job site conditions to ensure successful installations Ensure that the job information is full and precise before handing the project off to programming for fabrication Properly document accessibility to sites Provide detailed site-specific information for the installers, programming and scheduling Collect sink information, test fitting sinks into cabinet boxes, verify the location for each sink model Communicate with customers before, during and after visiting a site to complete a templating job Communicate with production team members about any important specifics of the job site Troubleshoot and resolve templating issues as required Complete full and accurate Reports Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the processes and workflow in the team Provide exceptional customer service Work in a safe manner that complies with all safety guidelines Contribute to team effort and completes other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Experience in a Countertop/Cabinetry Installation position Experience with electronic templating equipment an asset Knowledge of the construction industry an asset Ability to do accurate site measuring and hard templates Ability to learn and retain information, multi-task and work under pressure in a team-oriented environment Ability to lift up 85 lbs + Valid Class 5 Driver's License
