Telehandler Operator
Job Description
Duties
- Operate a telehandler to move, lift, and position materials and equipment on a construction site
- Safely load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas
- Transport materials to designated areas using the telehandler
- Inspect the telehandler for any damages or malfunctions before and after each use
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- May also involve laboring duties on site
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating a telehandler is essential
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on the telehandler
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and other technical documents
- Quality inspection skills to ensure materials meet specifications
