Telecommunication Technician - TV & Internet Installer

Job Summary

Snideys Sales & Service is one of Atlantic Canada's largest rural telecommunication installation companies. We are an Authorized Dealership for Xplore Internet, Shaw Direct Satellite TV & Sure Call cell phone signal boosters. We are currently seeking qualified individuals to add to our installation/service team for Colchester, Cumberland & Pictou Counties.

Candidates who have experience with electrical or telecom trades would be well equipped to apply for these positions.

We are open to working with a new employee hire or a sub contractor with an established company.

Interested candidates should be in good physical condition, very organized, able to self motivate and work independently. The work days range from Monday to Friday with some Saturdays as required.

Responsibilities and Duties

Install and service internet & TV for homes and businesses through out parts of Colchester, Cumberland & Pictou Counties.

Perform the jobs in a timely and professional manner within the required guidelines and policies to be provided by employer.

Maintain inventory provided and complete required paperwork

Qualifications and Skills

Must be a current, permanent resident of Nova Scotia

A valid Nova Scotia Scotia Drivers license is required

A basic knowledge of general construction and basic tools

Able to work outside in various weather conditions

Fluent in English with excellent customer service skills

Experience installing wireless Internet, fibre Internet, satellite dishes or security systems would be an asset

A basic understanding of computers and technology

Comfortable working with ladders and heights

Have a safe location to store equipment ( garage, shed etc )

Must successfully complete various training and other safety courses - courses and safety equipment to be provided by employer

Must successfully complete, pass online technician certification courses and one on one training - to be provided by employer.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Annual income estimate: $50,000-$65,000.00 per year

Mondays To Fridays and some Saturdays as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
