FiberCon Muskoka is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Lineperson to join our expanding team. Operating primarily in the Muskoka region and surrounding areas, the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in field service, with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation, fiber splicing, and cabling. This position involves working with various specialized tools and equipment to ensure the seamless setup and ongoing maintenance of telecommunication infrastructure.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair telecommunication lines and network infrastructure. Operate heavy equipment, including bucket trucks for aerial construction. Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete construction-related tasks. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively. Climb poles as necessary to access installation sites. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion. Maintain safety standards while performing all duties.

Requirements

Proven experience in field service within the telecommunications industry. Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, specifically bucket trucks. Knowledge of fiber splicing techniques and cabling practices. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and network infrastructure components. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Electrical experience is a plus, enhancing troubleshooting capabilities. Must be able to read schematics accurately for installation and repair tasks. Willingness to climb heights as required for installations or repairs. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
