Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Telecommunications Construction Supervisor

to oversee and manage our telecommunications construction projects. This role involves supervising directional drilling teams while also managing conduit plowing operations, fiber drop installations, cable jetting, splicing operations, and subcontractor coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications infrastructure, leadership experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, and project efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all aspects of telecommunications construction projects, including directional drilling, conduit plowing, fiber drop installations, cable jetting, and splicing operations. Lead, supervise, and provide direction to the drilling team, plowing crews, fiber installation technicians, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient operations. Oversee subcontractors in the field to ensure work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Plan and execute construction activities in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to guide field teams and ensure accurate execution. Monitor job site progress, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Provide on-site problem-solving and make real-time decisions to optimize efficiency and address any operational challenges. Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and promote best practices in telecommunications construction. Ensure proper use, maintenance, and servicing of equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams as needed. Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns. Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, safety logs, equipment maintenance records, and subcontractor documentation. Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency in telecommunications construction activities.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a

Construction Supervisor

or a similar leadership role in the telecommunications, utility, or construction industry. Minimum of

3-5 years of supervisory experience

in telecommunications infrastructure, including drilling, conduit plowing, fiber installation, and splicing operations. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise both in-house crews and subcontractors effectively. In-depth knowledge of directional drilling techniques, fiber optic installation, and general telecommunications construction practices. Ability to interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate field execution. Strong understanding of

health and safety regulations

, with a commitment to enforcing best practices on job sites. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make real-time decisions in the field. Technical knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders. High level of organizational skills and attention to detail. Relevant safety and construction-related certifications are an asset.

DZ or higher license

is considered an asset. Ability to work year-round in all weather conditions.
