The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations and team performance while actively participating in hands-on work. This position ensures that work is completed efficiently, safely, and to quality standards. The role combines leadership responsibilities with direct involvement in day-to-day tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervisory Duties:
Plan, assign, and monitor daily work activities to meet production or service goals.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
Monitor performance and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and ensure staff have required materials and tools.
Report progress, challenges, and staffing needs to management.
Operational/Hands-On Duties:
Perform skilled or semi-skilled work alongside team members to meet deadlines.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoot operational issues and assist in problem-solving on the job.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe working condition.
Administrative & Reporting:
Record work progress, material usage, and incident reports.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Support scheduling, inventory control, and ordering of materials.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
.Associate or technical degree preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Solid understanding of construction processes, tools, or standards.
Proficient in basic computer and reporting systems.
