We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage systems, telephony, WAN, and electrical components, along with the ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts and bucket trucks. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, ensuring reliable communication networks for our clients.

Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunication systems including telephony and WAN networks Perform wiring, cabling, and termination of low voltage systems in accordance with industry standards Operate bucket trucks and forklifts safely for elevated work and material handling Conduct network infrastructure upgrades and maintenance to ensure optimal performance Use welding skills when necessary for equipment or structural repairs Manage bucket operation tasks for installation or repair at elevated heights Test and verify system functionality using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment Follow safety protocols during all operations to maintain a secure work environment Document work performed and prepare reports for project records

Experience

Prior experience working with telecommunication systems, including telephony and WAN networks Electrical experience related to low voltage wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and system integration Hands-on experience operating forklifts and bucket trucks in a construction or telecommunications setting Knowledge of network infrastructure installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques Ability to perform welding tasks as needed for structural or equipment repairs Familiarity with telecommunication standards, safety procedures, and industry best practices Relevant certifications or training in telecommunications, electrical work, or equipment operation are preferred but not mandatory
