Role


The Wireline Network Provisioning team is responsible for designing, capacity managing and building the largest telecommunications network in the country.

Key Responsibilities


  • At the appropriate time, launch access network provisioning projects on the territory in order to meet the deadlines requested by our internal and external clients. These projects generally constitute building underground and/or aerial structures, and installing copper cables, fibre optics and related equipment.
  • Manage the existing distribution and feeder access network.
  • Plan, manage and prioritize the volume of work in his or her territory.
  • Be responsible for forecasts and monitoring project budgets.
  • Analyze current and future client needs to determine the optimal network architecture.
  • Design solutions, select appropriate equipment or installations.
  • Supervise the drafting of engineering plans for implementing and improving the access network.
  • Manage relationships with third parties, including Hydro-Qu\xc3\xa9bec, cable television operators, real estate developers, competitors, and municipal officials, among others.
  • Manage and participate in various projects such as working committees on improving quality, processes and work/group organization.
  • Continuously develop his or her knowledge on project management and network technology.


Critical Qualifications


  • Knowledge of the access network architecture and telecom technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management Principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects for successful program delivery
  • Ability to collaborate and negotiate with internal or external customers, in person in writing or verbally
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong aptitude to recognize opportunities for improvement in day-to-day work and take appropriate actions
