We are currently hiring a Permanent Full-Time Telecom/Security Technician in Red Deer. Job Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Installation, testing, troubleshooting of structured cable components. - Diagnose, install, maintain and repair telecom and security equipment. - Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software. \xc2\xb7 Handle a physically demanding workload (up to 60 lbs.) which includes heavy lifting, climbing ladders, work at heights, crawling in confined spaces and working in all weather conditions. \xc2\xb7 Self-motivated, demonstrate effective decision-making skills and can work with limited supervision. \xc2\xb7 Follow safe work practices and abide by all safety rules and regulations. What you need: \xc2\xb7 Your own basic hand tools \xc2\xb7 Fluent in English, with demonstrated professional oral and written communications skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to plan, organize and thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment. \xc2\xb7 Good understanding of network infrastructures \xc2\xb7 Strong troubleshooting skills \xc2\xb7 Exhibit enthusiasm to continuous learning, high performance and have a demonstrated ability to learn and apply learned skills to related situations. \xc2\xb7 Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license. \xc2\xb7 Be able to pass a background check. \xc2\xb7 Travel and out of town work is required. Company Vehicle and accommodation provided. Preferred 1 year experience in Telecommunication and/or Security industry.
