About the Role

The TEF Instructor will teach private and small-group TEF prep classes to motivated adult learners preparing for immigration, academic programs, or career advancement. You will provide expert guidance, targeted feedback, and strategic techniques to help students reach high NCLC/CLB scores.

Key Responsibilities

Teach and prepare students for all TEF components:

Comprehension Orale, Comprehension Ecrite, Expression Orale, Expression Ecrite,

and

Lexique et Structure

Conduct diagnostic assessments to determine level and gaps Develop individualized study plans with clear progression goals Teach exam strategies, time management, and scoring techniques Provide structured homework, mock exams, and performance feedback Support both beginner and advanced adult learners (A2 to C1) Maintain high-quality standards and consistent communication

Requirements

Native or near-native fluency in French

Strong knowledge of TEF Canada or TCF exam structure and scoring Experience teaching adults or exam preparation (TEF/TCF/DELF/DALF) Excellent communication, clarity, and coaching skills Reliable, organized, and committed to student success Able to teach both online and on-site Eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)

Certification in FLE / DAEFLE / or equivalent Experience helping students reach NCLC 7+ Familiarity with CEFR and NCLC/CLB equivalency charts
