Location/Division Specific Information

The Technology Transfer Project Manager will lead and manage the technology transfer of new and/or commercial high potency, oral solid dose pharmaceutical products from our clients to our site in the Greater Toronto Area (Mississauga location).

You will be part of a dynamic and result-driven organization. As a Technology Transfer Project Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring clients satisfaction and business growth. The Technology Transfer Project Manager is part of the Business Management Department, who will be responsible for leading and managing the technology transfer process and scale up of new pharmaceutical products introduced into our commercial manufacturing departments.

What will you do?

  • In collaboration with the Business Manager, act as the client key point of contact for all technical matters and coordinates the internal responses with the appropriate functional subject matter experts through the Technology Transfer process.
  • Generate key documentation including the Technology Transfer Plan between receiving site and transferring site, Project Timeline and Action Item lists.
  • Lead, track, follow up and monitor project activities to ensure alignment with expectations and agreed-upon timeline.
  • Oversee planning, execution and closure of all Engineering/Feasibility/Optimization phase activities.
  • Manage the internal and client project team to best achieve project milestones. Define where resources or delays may occur and escalate to site management for resolution.
  • Provides technical support for any fiscal requirements relevant to the project (primarily capital equipment and changes to scope) with internal resources and liaises with the Business Manager to ensure client agreement and revenue recognition.
  • Chair regular project meetings and correspondences between internal and client teams
  • Comply with GMP requirements and company rules, policies and procedures.
How will you get here?
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Science and/or Engineering related field
  • Project management training, PMP certification (or working towards) and/or relevant project management experience highly desired.
  • Strong project management background and experience highly desired.
  • Demonstrated experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in solid dose operations. Will consider candidates with experience in other industries (e.g. medical devices, biotechnology, etc....).
  • Client management experience is essential
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to motivate, communicate and lead cross functional teams to deliver critical project timelines.
  • Strong communication (both written and oral), negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, pro-active approach and strong project ownership ethic.
  • Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical Industry and CMO manufacturing processes.
