We are actively seeking a seasoned Commercial/ Technology Lawyer with a proven track record of working on a wide range of commercial technology agreements to join the team in Toronto. One of the perks of working here is its expedited path to partnership.ABOUT THE COMPANY AND THE OPPORTUNITYOur client, a large national law firm is looking to grow its Commercial/ Technology practice group in Toronto, ON with an experienced associate. We\'d love to hear from you if you are interested about working with one of the most established and recognizable names in the legal industry.JOB DESCRIPTION

• Drafting, revising, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements such as MSAs, SaaS agreements, data processing agreements, distribution agreements, in-bound and out-bound IP licenses, and more.
• Advise and support for online and social media businesses, as well providing expertise on privacy, intellectual property law, and compliance-related matters
• Large portion of work will pertain to M&A transactions related to the technology/ IP sector, including conducting due diligence and drafting and reviewing of IP agreements on related deals
• Client management from start to finish \xe2\x80\x93 especially M&A files
• 100% solicitor work, no litigation of any kind

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 4+ years of Commercial/ Technology experience
• Significant experience with a wide variety of commercial agreements
• Comes with significant client management experience
• Admitted to the Law Society of Ontario
• Located in Toronto. Must be comfortable with hybrid work model

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION

• Salary: $195,000 \xe2\x80\x93 $235,000/year
• Annual bonus based on performance
• Hybrid work options
