Responsibilities:What does your day look like?As a Radiation Protection Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and success of the project. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Operating process equipment to meet remedial objectives under the guidance of project and technical management
• Maintaining and calibrating specialized equipment such as alpha/beta data loggers, gamma meters, sample counters, and air monitors
• Conducting data measurements and sampling in the field using the necessary field equipment, probes, detectors, or meters
• Communicating daily project updates with the radiation protection technician team and project team
• Ensuring that all required daily, weekly, and monthly surveys are completed

Qualifications:What do you need to succeed?To thrive in this role, you should possess:

• Strong problem-solving and observational skills
• The ability to work autonomously and take initiative in a remote site setting
• Training in radiation safety (an asset, but not required; onsite training will be provided)
• Physical capability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 25 kg
• Experience in fly-in/fly-out roles (preferred)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A valid drivers license (an asset)
• Health and safety training or remote site training (an asset)
• Bilingual in English and French (an asset)
