Resume du poste



Le technicien en atelier de service et gestion de l'inventaire joue un role essentiel dans le soutien a la fois de nos operations de service et de la gestion des stocks au sein de la succursale de Dorval. Ce poste est responsable de la preparation, de l'entretien et de la reparation des serrures, coffres-forts et autres dispositifs de securite, tout en assurant un controle efficace des pieces et de l'inventaire pour soutenir les operations de service sur le terrain.

Ce role hybride combine des taches techniques pratiques avec des responsabilites administratives et de coordination afin d'assurer le flux sans interruption des pieces, outils et materiaux necessaires aux activites sur le terrain et a l'atelier.

Responsabilites principales



Operations d'atelier de service



Concevoir et maintenir des systemes de cles principales et reconfigurer les serrures selon les specifications des clients. Preparer, entretenir et reparer diverses serrures, quincaillerie de portes et autres dispositifs de securite. Soutenir les techniciens sur le terrain en preparant les commandes clients et en assurant la disponibilite des pieces en temps voulu. Couper les cles, pinner les serrures et assembler les composants de securite a l'aide de l'equipement approprie. Maintenir la conformite aux politiques et procedures relatives aux cles restreintes. Fournir un soutien telephonique et au comptoir aux equipes internes et aux clients selon les besoins.

Gestion de l'inventaire



Maintenir des registres d'inventaire precis dans le systeme ERP de l'entreprise. Scanner, etiqueter et barcoder tous les produits entrants et sortants. Effectuer des inventaires physiques reguliers et concilier les ecarts. Traiter les receptions de bons de commande, verifier les quantites et coordonner avec les fournisseurs pour resoudre les divergences. Gerer les transferts et ajustements de stock entre succursales et vehicules de service. Preparer et etiqueter les articles pour des ordres de travail specifiques et assurer l'exactitude de la documentation. Soutenir les processus logistiques, d'expedition et de reception, y compris la preparation des bons de livraison, confirmations de commande et factures.

Taches generales



Collaborer avec les equipes de service, d'administration et de gestion pour assurer l'efficacite operationnelle. Soutenir les initiatives d'amelioration continue liees aux operations de l'atelier et au controle des stocks. Maintenir un atelier et une zone d'inventaire propres, securitaires et organises. Effectuer d'autres taches connexes pour soutenir les objectifs de service et operationnels.

Qualifications



Diplome d'etudes secondaires requis?; etudes postsecondaires dans un domaine connexe sont un atout. Aptitudes mecaniques ou electroniques et interet pour les serrures, coffres-forts et quincaillerie de securite. Competences informatiques intermediaires (Excel, systemes ERP, saisie de donnees). Solides competences organisationnelles et en communication. Capacite a travailler de maniere autonome et en equipe dans un environnement dynamique. Sens du detail, fiabilite et motivation personnelle. Capacite a soulever et transporter des objets jusqu'a 25 kilogrammes. Permis de conduire valide classe 5 (obligatoire). Verification du casier judiciaire requise.

Position Summary



The

Service Shop & Inventory Technician

plays a vital role in supporting both our service operations and inventory management within the Dorval branch. This position is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and repair of locks, safes, and other security devices, while also ensuring efficient parts and inventory control to support field service operations.

This hybrid role combines hands-on technical work with administrative and coordination duties to ensure the seamless flow of parts, tools, and materials required for field and workshop activities.

Key Responsibilities



Service Shop Operations



Design and maintain master key systems and rekey locks to customer specifications. Prepare, service, and repair various locks, door hardware, and other security devices. Support field technicians by preparing customer orders and ensuring timely parts availability. Cut keys, pin locks, and assemble security components using key cutting and pinning equipment. Maintain compliance with restricted key policies and procedures. Provide phone and counter support to internal teams and customers as required.

Inventory Management



Maintain accurate inventory records within the company's ERP system. Scan, label, and barcode all incoming and outgoing products. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and variance reconciliations. Process purchase order receipts, verify quantities, and coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies. Manage transfers and stock adjustments between branches and service vehicles. Stage and label items for specific work orders and ensure documentation accuracy. Support logistics, shipping, and receiving processes, including preparing packing slips, order confirmations, and invoices.

General Duties



Collaborate with service, administration, and management teams to ensure operational efficiency. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to shop operations and inventory control. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop and inventory area. Perform other related duties as assigned to support service and operational goals.

Qualifications



Secondary school diploma required; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset. Mechanical or electronic aptitude with interest in locks, safes, and security hardware. Intermediate computer skills (Excel, ERP systems, data entry). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated. Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 kilograms. Valid Class 5 driver's license (mandatory). Criminal background check required.
