Job Summary


We're hiring a hands-on Networking Technician to install, terminate, test, and document low-voltage infrastructure. You'll work on new builds, retrofits, and service calls--pulling and dressing cable, mounting hardware, and turning over clean, labeled, standards-compliant installs.

Duties



Install, configure, and troubleshoot Ethernet networks and computer networking systems. Pull, label, terminate, and test

Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A

, coax, and

fiber (MM/SM)

Build out telecom closets: racks, ladder tray, patch panels, management, grounding/bonding. Install and align

IP cameras, NVRs, access control panels/readers

, door strikes/mag locks, and

PoE

switching. Complete test reports/as-builts and follow labeling standards; certify cabling to TIA/EIA. Troubleshoot links; tone/trace; work safely and professionally with GCs and clients. Participate in occasional after-hours cutovers/on-call rotation.

Experience

(Must Have)

1+ years in low-voltage/structured cabling or electrical communications Strong copper termination (110/66, keystone, patch panels) and

Fluke

(or equivalent) certifier use Basic networking (VLANs, PoE, IP addressing); able to read floor plans/prints Valid

Class 5

driver's licence, clean abstract; able to pass background check Comfortable on ladders/lifts/heights; can lift 50 lbs and work on tools all day Proven experience working with Ethernet cabling, computer networking, telecommunication systems, and low voltage wiring. Proficiency in using hand tools for wiring, crimping, cutting, and securing cables. Prior experience working with telecommunication infrastructure or similar low voltage systems is preferred. This position requires a dedicated professional with technical expertise in low voltage systems who is committed to quality workmanship and safety standards.

If you've completed training for

Networking Upskill:

Structured mentorship to strengthen switching, routing, and Wi-Fi design fundamentals.

Conditions:

Proof of course completion required; exam fee coverage subject to manager approval and staying with the company for a defined period (standard training reimbursement terms apply).
