About the role Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs. We are looking for a Condition Monitoring Technician to support our business in ensuring maximum up time and asset reliability. Being a specialized position, you need to work well with minimal supervision and have sound mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills. This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, \xe2\x80\x98hands on\xe2\x80\x99 individual who is looking to apply their technical knowledge by assisting in diagnosis of maintenance and technical issues and undertaking regular inspections. Reporting to the Work Management & Planning Superintendent and working a 2 week on, 2 weeks off roster you will:
  • Carry out CBM techniques utilising vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography and oil analysis;
  • Perform data collection, the analysis of equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy solutions/improve asset performance;
  • Complete any non-routine inspection requests as required;
  • Liaise with reliability engineers, maintenance and production teams to link condition monitoring findings and other maintenance strategies;
  • Prepare & process fluid samples for offsite analysis;
  • Carry out regular inspections and raise notifications through SAP;
  • Advise Maintenance Planners on forward log priority;
  • Investigate and make recommendations to improve fixed and mobile fleet performance;
  • Offer technical support to the Asset Management team;
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to drive reliability best practice;
  • Drive and promote a strong safety culture and zero harm approach;
  • Other duties as required
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Extensive experience with NDT;
  • Level 1 Certification in Vibration Analysis;
  • Level 1 Certification in Infrared Thermography;
  • Practical experience in root cause analysis and machine failure investigation;
  • A working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP;
  • A readiness for a proactive and flexible approach to fluctuating workloads
It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Mechanical/Electrical Trade qualification;
  • Level 2 Certification in Infrared Thermography;
  • Level 1 Certification in Ultrasonic;
  • Competent with SAP
