About the role:

We are currently looking for a Technical Writer II to join our team. The Technical Writer will assist with the preparation of documentation to assist with the development of our products. Reporting directly to the Technical Writing Team Leader, the individual will also perform activities related to continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist with documentation associated with the development of medical devices
• Write various technical reports, SOPs, etc.
• Research medical devices, procedures or technologies
• Work cross-functionally with all business units/SMEs for technical review of documentation
• Contribute to project level planning and conduct independent work planning
• Understand quality change procedures and contribute/draft associated documentation
• Demonstrate Baylis values, work with integrity, and be a supportive corporate member.
• Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions.
• Other duties as required.

Required qualifications:

• A technical degree and/or technical writing certification
• 4+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong interest in biomedical technology, technical writing of various SOPs and technical documentation for manufacturing of medical devices
• Should be a self-starter with a hands-on approach and capability to work independently and with a diverse group of engineers and production staff
• Willingness to take on new challenges and solve problems with direction
• Strong communication skills (verbal/written)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office;

Preferred qualifications:

• Background in Science
• Knowledge of macros (VBA coding)
