Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Technical Writer, located in Guelph, ON, on a 12-month contract, with the possibility for extension or transition into a regular full time position based on performance. Responsibilities:

Under mentorship of the Processing Supervisors, Production Leads, and/or Business Unit Managers:
  • Investigate processing/packaging deviations through discussion with all applicable parties, such as: Production Staff, Tech Ops, Plant Quality, and Maintenance. This may entail collecting, summarizing, and analyzing data to propose recommendations.
  • Craft a detailed summary of the deviation for review and input into the EtQ Symphony system.
  • Through consultation, prepare a plan of appropriate corrective and/or preventative measures, ensuring agreement & consensus from applicable parties on timing for remediation.
  • Working cross-functionally and reciprocally, update any internal documents (SOPs, OJTs) based on agreed upon actions and route for approval.
  • Assist in implementing and supervising corrective/preventative measures to confirm their effectiveness.
  • Eager and willing to participate in other projects/initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum of a University degree in Science or Engineering.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 2-4 years of overall work experience.
  • Honed skills in the use of the Microsoft Suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) will be used daily.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-based environment and able to work diligently to meet commitments.
  • Able to handle a large list and tasks and work with Leaders and teams to effectively prioritize work.

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 2+years proven experience with excellent technical writing skills, preparing and presenting documents for Supervisory/Management review.
  • Strong interest in a career in the pharmaceutical, consumer health care or life sciences field.
  • Prior experience in a high-Quality Manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience with statistical analysis.
