We're looking for a Payroll Coordinator- 12 months Contract. The work location for this position is Burnaby, British Columbia, and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

The Opportunity:

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for full cycle processing of the Canadian payrolls and international payrolls as required.

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

Bi-weekly full cycle processing of the part time Canadian payroll.

Semi-monthly/Monthly processing of some international payrolls.

Maintenance of employee database and personnel files.

Invoice/Journal entries, employee inquiries/change requests, new hires/terms, ROE's, garnishments, employee change audit report reconciliations and government filings, vacation accrual reconciliations.

Monthly/Quarterly reconciliation of payroll accounts.

Year-end government tax filings for applicable jurisdictions

Here's what you bring:

High School / Post-Secondary Education

1-3 years Canadian Payroll experience running full-cycle payrolls

Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate from the Canadian Payroll Association preferred

HR systems and payroll software experience (ADP Workforce would be an asset)

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

Organized, detailed-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to always meet deadlines.

Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.

Solid work ethic, without sacrificing your sense of humor or your ability to have fun on the job
