MacDon is looking for a Technical Training & Development Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate impactful training programs, to support our manufacturing operations.
In this role, you'll assess training needs, lead hands-on and classroom training, coordinate apprenticeship programs, and enhance onboarding for technical roles. You'll collaborate with internal and external trainers, leaders and employees, develop innovative learning solutions, and support employee growth through cutting-edge training methods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Technical Training : Design, coordinate, and deliver training programs, with a focus on Power Mobile Equipment (PME) and Assembly training .
• Facilitate Learning : Conduct hands-on and classroom training, onboarding, and skills development for manufacturing employees.
• Assess & Improve Training Needs: Use surveys, interviews, and feedback to identify gaps and develop targeted programs.
• Manage Apprenticeship Programs : Act as the primary liaison with Apprenticeship Manitoba and oversee apprenticeship initiatives.
• Develop Training Materials : Create manuals, guides, and multimedia content to enhance learning.
• Ensure Compliance & Best Practices : Align training with policies, procedures, and industry standards.
• Measure Effectiveness : Track training participation, assess learning outcomes, and refine programs based on feedback.
• Support HR Initiatives : Contribute to broader employee development and organizational training strategies.

What You Bring:
• 3-5 years of training experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong facilitation, instructional design, and communication skills
• Ability to engage learners through creative and technology-driven training methods
