What will you do? As a Technical Support Specialist of P&C, you should possess a combination of business and technical skills to help support Siemens Energy Automation Business transformation. Customer Support (Post sales technical support)
  • Provide superior customer experience with each customer contact; inquiries are via phone, e-mail, and online chat.
  • Logging queries, making tickets in footprints (BMC FootPrints Service Core is a 100% web-based Service Desk and customer support tool).
  • Prioritize the daily workload of internal & external customer inquiries, including recognizing urgency and acting accordingly.
  • Identify, redirect and/or escalate problems to appropriate resources per customer support procedures.
  • Customer support job includes, replicate customer issues in online and offline tools/labs, prepare solutions and timely reply to customers for resolution of problems at customer sites, sometimes visit to customer location for defect investigation and possible resolution of problems.
  • RMA process of repair and replacement devices under warranty which includes,
    • booking of replacement/repair device under warranty, Coordinate receipt of faulty device from customer to siemens, apply for re-export documents, Coordinate dispatch of faulty device back to factory, track timely receipt of replaced or repaired device from factory to customer.
System Project Support (Application / Execution support) Candidate will be partially responsible site and office support for system projects in pan Canada (specially in western Canada). Engineering and commissioning
  • Project progress reporting and scheduling with customer and vendors
  • Managing and scheduling the deliveries of project with customer and vendors
  • Preparation of Engineering Drawings like SLD/wiring Diagrams/Schemes using AutoCAD as needed for customers.
  • Design support and working on panel drawing work with related communication with customer and vendor.
  • Managing and preparing QA/QC as per customer\xe2\x80\x99s specification.
  • Support to project commercial for timely billing related activities.
  • Project closure activities
  • FAT and SAT execution with protection and control devices testing.
  • Trainings to customer and partner on our products.
What will you need to succeed?
  • A college or university graduate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with connection to Power System Protection & Control.
  • Interest in pursuing career in Energy Automation Portfolio; particularly Protection and Control and IoT connectivity for Digital Transformation.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in field of P&C.
  • High-level knowledge of EA Products and service portfolio,
  • Having experience in Installation testing & Commissioning of protection relay of Siemen, GE, SEL
  • Thrives in customer engagement and proactively pursues new clients
  • Growth mindset, with a passion for learning
  • Collaborative with an ability to cultivate relationships and networks
  • Agile, technically savvy, with a knack at creating solutions
  • Creative thinker with a unique ability for resourcefulness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and working knowledge of web analytics tools and strong affiliation to learn IoT technology

  • Ability to adapt to change, take initiative, be resourceful and dependable
  • Must be able to work independently and in a confidential and ethical manner

Experience and knowledge of:
  • Configuration of SIPROTEC5 IEDs like 7SJ85/6, 7UT82/5/6/7, 7SA82/86/87, 7SL82/6/7, 7SD82/6/7, 7SL82/6/7, 7SS85, 7UM85, 6MU85.
  • Software - DIGSI5, DIGSI4, IEC61850 configurator, SIGRA, CFC logic editor.
  • Communication protocol \xe2\x80\x93 IEC61850 ed1/ed2, IEC61850-9-1/2
  • Knowledge of additional software and devices will be an added advantage like SICAM Device Manager, toolbox II, SICAM PAS, SICAM SCC, A8000, SICAM P/PQ etc.
