Description :Our Technical Services Supervisor will provide leadership to our technical communicators and will collaborate with Product Support Operational Leaders to ensure timely product problem resolution and best in class technical support to Toromont Technicians.As a Technical Services Supervisor, YOU will experience:

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Model the way for health and safety, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors in support of Toromont\'s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
• Ensure all department employees comply with established safety rules
• Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and review Incident Reports
• Provide excellent customer service as a key contact for Technical Services
• Provide leadership in the Technical Services department to ensure KPI targets are met
• Train and coach technical communicators to meet and exceed customer and business expectations and administer performance evaluations
• Increase customer loyalty index and follow up on quality of technical support with branch operational leadership
• Document, with the support of the branches, all product problems and establish action plans that will lead to permanent solutions. Identify and resolve issues by initiating corrective actions when necessary
• Encourage continuous improvement for the Technical Services Department through regularly scheduled meetings and associated training
• Create internal Toromont TIB\xe2\x80\x99s (Technical Information Bulletins) and other internal technical documentation as necessary and distribute to operations
• Communicate regularly with the Caterpillar Technical Service Reps
• Schedule and lead internal Toromont PPM meetings with PSM\xe2\x80\x99s, TC\xe2\x80\x99s, and Caterpillar Reps to ensure product problems are communicated to the factory and resolutions occur in a timely fashion.
• Ensure the PSCRM, DPPM, and other technologies available to the department and operations are leveraged to their fullest extent
• Drive Caterpillar PPM (Product Problem Management) calls

Must-haves for this role:

• Post-Secondary education with a technical focus and up to 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a supervisory position within a shop or field environment
• Highly safety conscious with a solid technical aptitude for heavy equipment, Caterpillar, and current marketplace industry knowledge
• Customer centric with strong leadership, efficient coaching and effective team building skills
• Exceptional communication, relationship development and interpersonal skills
• Mindset for continuous improvement, excellent problem solving and conflict management skills
• Sense of urgency, independent and a team player with high initiative and integrity
• Self-directed and adaptable to changing and multiple priorities to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Computer and systems literate with proficiencies in Microsoft Applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Knowledge of CAT Corporate Web Navigation, DBS, SIS or experience with Toromont operations would be an asset
• Willing and able to work flexible hours in support of the business needs
• Valid Driver\'s License and clean Driver\'s Abstract
• Fluent in both English and French spoken language would be an asset
