BIMM is booming, so we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Technical SEO Strategist (3-4 mos contract) to join our team.

Who we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for

The Technical SEO Strategist plays a key role in ensuring that off-page elements and on-page content are optimized for reach and engagement. The role requires a strategic approach to technical dependencies involved in a large-scale migration for a multi-regional brand using an enterprise CMS platform (affecting

1000\xe2\x80\x99s of sites).

The role complements our Design, Content, and Technology practices by auditing, benchmarking, testing, and delivering both a strategy and framework for content across our client\xe2\x80\x99s digital ecosystem. The end goal is to set our client up for success with SEO that delivers high-performing solutions for ranking and redirection throughout a global migration.

This role will help establish Technical SEO standards and services, specifically for a client undergoing a massive migration project, mentoring and training members of our Content team to support the execution of the strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Support the migration of content and URLs across enterprise platforms and websites while maintaining, or possibly enhancing, SEO rankings and performance
  • Experience with CMS migration for a global multi-region brand that powers informational, interactive, and full conversion funnel-based experiences (eCommerce with inventory catalog)
  • Ability to audit and define domain naming practices, URL structure maps, redirect pathways, and site taxonomy
  • Ability to plan for indexing efforts and the mitigation of issues with redundant backlinks
  • Ability to enhance content discoverability and perform Lighthouse Performance scoring
  • Create and facilitate workshops for client stakeholders to establish benchmarks and strategic tactics, uncovering opportunities and risks to the business throughout migration
  • Collaborate closely with CMS/Technical Architects and Content Specialists to align on a responsible, high-impact approach to migration
  • Ability to organize insights and solutions into a roadmap of short- and long-term actions for our product teams
  • Ability to identify and utilize reliable, industry-leading tools/platforms for our growing SEO practice (Google Analytics, SEM Rush, etc)
  • Remain informed on the latest trends and updates to SEO for major search engine platforms (Google, Bing, etc)
  • Proactively work with our product teams and clients to gain access to performance insights, marketing strategies, as well as data and analytics as needed for evaluation
  • Ability to adjust approach to SEO based on lifecycle of content: evergreen versus timely, core content versus landing pages
  • Establish SEO guidelines across various streams of our clients\xe2\x80\x99 digital ecosystems
  • Provide guidance for technical SEO tactics involving: metadata, keywords, URL structure and slugs, hosting, indexing, and page loading
  • Collaborate with writers in Design and CMS teams in Content to review and optimize copy before pushing to publish
  • Work with both internal and external Marketing and CRM teams to understand the objectives of inbound marketing, brand communication, information architecture, and the competitive landscape
Requirements
  • 4+ years of relevant SEO experience
  • Experience in a technical SEO role for a major brand via their online retail website(s)
  • A willingness to learn, take feedback, ask for help, and support teammates
  • A willingness to educate and advocate for all things SEO
Nice to have
  • Experience working within an agency or consultancy setting
  • Experience working within an Agile delivery framework
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite: Confluence, Jira
  • Experience working with Designers and Developers
