We're seeking a technically minded, customer-focused salesperson who can sell, demonstrate, quote, train, troubleshoot, and service metal fabrication machinery. This is a unique role combining technical expertise with relationship-building sales.
You'll work directly with customers to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure their equipment is properly installed, used, and maintained. You'll also collaborate with our U.S.-based vendors for support on technical issues and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the complete sales cycle: lead generation, quoting, closing, and post-sale support.
Conduct in-person and virtual equipment demos for prospective customers.
Provide training to customers on safe and effective machine use.
Troubleshoot technical issues with customer equipment, including on-site service calls.
Collaborate with vendors in the U.S. for complex technical support and parts sourcing.
Travel throughout Canada as required to visit customer sites, deliver demos, service machinery, or attend trade shows.
Requirements:
Technical aptitude with industrial or metal fabrication machinery (experience with press brakes, shears, saws, folders, etc. is a strong asset).
Sales experience (B2B, capital equipment, or industrial sales preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with customers.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and specifications.
Hands-on problem-solving ability and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to travel across Canada, sometimes on short notice.
Valid passport (for vendor training or support trips if needed).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience selling or servicing metal fabrication machinery.
Trade certification or technical diploma in a mechanical or electrical field.
Familiarity with CRM systems and quoting tools.
