Zaber is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Technical Sales Specialist who can bridge the gap between technical knowledge, sales and marketing expertise. You'll utilize your comprehensive understanding of Zaber's product range to effectively communicate their value proposition to potential customers as well as gather industry requirements to effectively market and grow market share within that industry.



As a valued member of our high-performing and self-managed team, you will have the freedom to work in a manner that suits your strengths. You'll collaborate closely with our Applications Engineers, who will provide support in developing your motion control and customer service expertise.



Zaber specializes in the design and production of affordable, integrated, and user-friendly precision positioning devices. By actively listening to customer needs and addressing their challenges, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating strong relationships with our customer base. This customer-centric approach will not only drive successful sales but also foster long-term customer loyalty.

Technical Sales Specialist Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of the technical features, capabilities, and benefits of Zaber's products. Proactively identify, attract, and contact potential customers Advocate for customers when collaborating with internal stakeholders. Spend ~20% of your time representing Zaber at trade shows around the world and performing customer site visits. Write technical articles, application notes and other marketing material

Technical Sales Specialist Qualifications

Technical degree required (mechanical engineering, physics, or other relevant scientific degree) Ability to explain concepts through written and spoken English clearly and concisely required (other languages, an asset). Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally with a technical sales or support focus, an asset. Industry knowledge in photonics and optics.

Technical Sales Specialist Wage

The starting wage for the role is $44-$60 depending on experience. This is a salary-based position, rather than a commission-based position. We aim to reward input and effort, rather than outcome.
