The Representative agrees to serve as a Technical Sales Representative and will be responsible for promoting and selling the Company's products and services, managing customer relationships, and generating new sales leads within one of the following regions:
- Position 1: Greater Vancouver Area
- Position 2: Northern British Columbia
Employee will report to the Director of Sales and work to achieve product sales targets, develop new business, and manage client accounts.
2. Term
This Agreement will be in effect for an initial term of twelve (12) months beginning on the Effective Date. After the initial term, the Agreement will automatically renew on a monthly basis unless terminated by either party with 30 days' written notice.
3. Compensation: Year 1
During the initial 12-month term:
- Base Salary: $2,500/month, paid biweekly or monthly.
- Commission: 15% on all gross product sales generated directly by the Representative.
- Expenses Covered:
- Fuel reimbursement (actual receipts or CRA mileage rate)
- Hotel accommodations (pre-approved by Company)
- Daily per diem of $75 for meals and incidentals when traveling overnight
4. Compensation: After Year 1
Upon conclusion of the initial 12-month term, the base salary will be discontinued, and the Representative will transition to a tiered commission-only model:
Tiered Commission Structure:
- 0 - $250,000 in annual gross sales: 15%
- $250,001 - $500,000: 20%
- $500,001 - $750,000: 25%
- $750,001 and above: 30%
5. Performance Reviews
The Company reserves the right to review and amend compensation structures and expectations based on performance, market conditions, or business needs, with 30 days' written notice.
6. Reporting & Tools
The Representative is required to:
- Maintain accurate sales reports and submit weekly updates.
- Use CRM or sales tracking tools as provided by the Company.
7. Confidentiality & Non-Compete
Representative agrees to maintain confidentiality of all Company information and shall not engage in any competing business activities during the term of this Agreement or for 12 months following termination.
Skills
Strong background in technical sales with a proven ability to close deals.
Experience conducting product demos that effectively communicate value propositions.
Solid understanding of computer networking principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills to assess client needs and recommend suitable solutions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license
Minimum 2 years of sales experience
Proficiency in English
