Assignment Description

Responsible for technical integrity input and assurance activities for all Technical Safety systems and equipment (domain) during the project development phase such as:

o Risk review participation (i.e., Concept Safety Analysis, HAZID, HAZOP, MOC, LOPA);

o Develop Safety Environmental Critical Element performance standards;

o Reviews of design and construction team\xe2\x80\x99s and contractor documentation (i.e., P&IDs, package specifications, F&G strategy, area classifications, lifesaving plan, safety strategy);

o Review safety and loss control requirements for Canada, within domain, and align with design team strategies and specifications;

o Participate in site assurance reviews and audits (i.e., Yards, OEMs, and engineering contractors);

o Participate in factory acceptance testing (package and sub-package level);

o Participate in the development of asset digital twin and lifecycle simulator/s;

o Contribute to the maintenance plan build;

o Contribute to sparing and obsolescence planning;

o Contribute to Operation strategies, plans and procedures development; and

o Contribute to Certification and Safety plan development.

  • Represent the Client and support the project Operations in all external stakeholder engagements relating to the domain (i.e., Partner, Regulators, Class Society)
  • Participate as a member of the mechanical completion and commissioning team and act as the technical integrity representative in the RFOC team, for described domain
  • Develop the technical integrity inspection management plan for the described domain
  • Act as a resource to the Client Operations team for the Client, regulatory and Classification Society requirements and design codes, for the described domain
  • Contribute to Client\xe2\x80\x99s global professional network for Technical Safety. Act as strong link between the professional network and the Client Operations team
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree
  • Professional Engineering designation from Professional Engineers and Geoscientist of Newfoundland and Labrador (or ability to obtain designation)
  • 10 years (preferably the majority focused on floating offshore Oil and Gas assets)
  • Operations experience centred on performance of technical barriers
  • Good knowledge of tools and methods for Technical Safety systems and equipment design work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong adaptable and team centric behaviours.
  • High focus and commitment to personal and process safety.
