The Technical Records position plays a vital role in maintaining and organizing essential documentation and records within our helicopter organization. Duties
Technical Records Management
Maintain Aircraft Technical Records:
Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance, inspection, repair, modification, component life cycle, and service history records for all company aircraft. This includes a strong focus on numerical accuracy and precise data entry.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all records comply with Transport Canada regulations, company Maintenance Control Manual (MCM), and other applicable standards. Your meticulous approach will be crucial here.
Component Life Tracking:
Maintain accurate logs for aircraft component life limits and track usage through Company tracking software. This involves managing numerical data that directly impacts operational safety.
Technical Manuals and Publications:
Maintain and update aircraft technical manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and other relevant publications.
Record Filing and Organization:
Organize and maintain both hard copy and electronic technical records for efficient retrieval and audit readiness. Your organizational prowess and systematic approach will be highly valued.
Technical Research:
Provide technical research services for the maintenance department and other staff.
Aircraft Files:
Maintain accurate and complete aircraft files, ensuring they are up-to-date and filed systematically to ensure quick retrieval when needed.
Confidentiality:
Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Analyze existing documentation for clarity and compliance with company standards, with an emphasis on data integrity.
Write and edit technical documents, reports, and manuals as needed.
Assist in project management tasks related to documentation processes.
Skills
Strong analytical skills to evaluate technical records effectively and a natural aptitude for working with numerical data.
Excellent writing skills for creating clear and concise documentation.
Ability to negotiate effectively with team members to gather information.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Proficient in using Office applications, particularly Excel, for document creation and data analysis.
Knowledge of Traxxall Maintenance Software or similar software would be an asset.
