Synopsis of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and drive complex infrastructure and application delivery initiatives. This role requires a unique blend of deep technical understanding in networking and application services, coupled with strong project management methodologies to ensure the successful, on-time, and within-budget delivery of critical projects. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with organizational goals. You will be instrumental in enhancing our network capabilities and optimizing the delivery of essential application services that power our business.

What you'll do

Project Leadership & Execution:

+ Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on network architecture, security, and connectivity (e.g., WAN/LAN upgrades, data center migrations, cloud networking integration, firewall implementations, VPN solutions).
+ Oversee the delivery of application services projects, including new application deployments, system integrations, and critical upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal business disruption.
+ Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
+ Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation models, ensuring adherence to established methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
+ Drive daily project stand-ups, weekly status meetings, and executive reviews, providing clear, concise, and timely updates on project progress, risks, and dependencies.

Technical Acumen & Problem Solving:

+ Act as a technical liaison, translating complex technical requirements and challenges into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.
+ Work closely with network engineers, solution architects, application developers, and operations teams to ensure technical designs are robust, scalable, and meet business requirements.
+ Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and issues, developing effective contingency plans to keep projects on track.
+ Facilitate technical discussions, design reviews, and troubleshooting sessions to unblock teams and drive solutions.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

+ Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders, including senior management, business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
+ Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiation support, service level agreement (SLA) monitoring, and ensuring vendor deliverables meet project specifications.
+ Manage change requests, scope creep, and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained for any deviations from the agreed-upon project plan.

Process Improvement & Quality Assurance:

+ Implement and enforce project management best practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of our project delivery methodologies.
+ Oversee technical documentation, system requirements, and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality project deliverables.
+ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for project health, including budget vs. actuals, schedule variance, quality metrics, and stakeholder satisfaction.

What experience you need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of progressive experience in technical project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT infrastructure and application services projects. Demonstrable experience managing network-centric projects (e.g., LAN/WAN, routing/switching, firewalls, VPNs, cloud networking, SD-WAN). Experience with application delivery projects, including understanding of SDLC, deployment processes, and integration challenges. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid) and practical experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Asana). Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
