The Position

Senior Technical Product Manager

Computational Science and Informatics Pathology Lab Chapter is a fast-paced, highly interdisciplinary, and technical team of people with the adventurous goal of redefining the practice of Pathology by crafting innovative algorithms using AI technologies to improve the lives of cancer patients.


In this role you will be responsible for the successful, tactical execution of activities related to Digital Pathology algorithm products. You will work proactively with Development Leads, Technical Leads, Project Leader and IPMs to identify key needs, translate those needs into specifications so that our AI team can create Digital Pathology algorithms that will be deployed on the Navify Digital Pathology Platform. https://www.navify.com/

The Opportunity



Translate product strategy into detailed scientific requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering and data science teams. Be the voice of the customer for the product development team throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from definition to sunsetting of the product. Collaborate with customers, team members, and outside influencers to ensure a proven and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the digital pathology market, of Roche portfolio, and of our competitors. Be the high-availability resource for answering questions posed by engineers, data scientists, and designers about stories in the backlog on a day-to-day basis. Author user stories, acceptance criteria, product, and software requirements documentation, ensuring that story content and prioritization is aligned to larger strategic goals. Support the User acceptance testing activities by interacting with stakeholder/s. Prepare release notes and update the business owners regarding features being incorporated in each Release.

Who you are



You hold a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent 5 years experience in Technical Product Management in the health care service industry OR analogous experience managing requirements of computer vision systems based on AI/ML. You have a proven track record with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework. You demonstrate Product Management skills - handling priorities, quality, conflict, risk, etc.

Preferred



You have an advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Sciences, Data Science, Biology, Chemistry or equivalent. You demonstrate proven understanding of the digital pathology space and the associated technologies. You have experience in regulated industries, specifically Medical Devices/Digital Health/Lifesciences. You demonstrate an understanding of Health Canada and FDA regulations and guidelines. Occasional travel may be required in the amount of 10-20% for conferences and client visits
