As ATB's next Technical Product Owner for Enterprise Lending, you will have a unique and exciting opportunity to be an early contributor and key voice in a high impact project that will accelerate ATB's lending capabilities and enable Albertans to turn dreams into reality.

We're on a long term journey to implement a world class enterprise lending platform for ATB. This role is key to ensure we're delivering a solution that meets both business and technical requirements as effectively as possible.

You will work closely with the Product Management and Development teams to help us refine and shape the work required to integrate, customize, and configure a new SaaS lending origination platform at ATB, and migrate data from our current lending systems to the new solution. ATB provides many opportunities for people who are not afraid to wear multiple hats and step in where it is needed. Expect to be included in collaborations with other team members across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications using standard requirements modeling and specification techniques, including but not limited to process modeling, data mapping & modeling, use case modeling, User & System Role Mapping (e.g CRUD matrix), etc.
  • Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and acceptance tests
  • Work closely with developers to decompose requirements as required
  • Perform basic system configuration tasks as required
  • Collaborate with solution architects to validate solution architecture and create related requirements viewpoints needed for implementation solution design.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the functional integration requirements of ATB's core systems and the new SaaS platform
  • Work closely with Product and Business teams to understand business rule requirements, and help solve how these can be met while minimizing customization.
  • Draw insights from data to suggest product enhancements that will improve the user experience and technical implementation
  • Manage epics and user stories within JIRA to reflect product strategy and roadmap and maintain high team effectiveness.
  • Maintain a refined and prioritized backlog
Requirements

Technical Product Owner Requirements:
  • Business, design, or software engineering background
  • Experience working with SaaS or other technical integration projects
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle and experience working with development teams
  • Experience using JIRA, MIRO and G-Suite
  • Attention to detail - the devil is always in the details!
  • Enthusiastic and curious about the user experience
  • Evidence of data-driven decision making
  • Bonus: 1-2 years experience working in a business or technical role
  • Bonus: Previous experience working as a Product Owner
  • Bonus: Previous experience in digital banking, financial technology, or the banking industry
