BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.

BIOVECTRA Inc. has an opening for a Technical Operations Student. This is an 8 month work term located in Windsor, NS.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing spreadsheets to track critical project data, preparing summary reports, and identifying process improvement opportunities using statistical methods.
  • Working with the project team in the identification of instruments, equipment and process aids for the maintenance and manufacturing departments for the facility and recommending supplier options
  • Providing administrative support for the facility staff and sourcing, purchasing, negotiating equipment and process aids for processes.
  • Creating BPR and work instructions for manufacturing team.
  • Assisting to train operators on new equipment.
  • Supporting batch execution on the floor with set up materials through the inventory system for batch production.
  • General housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness of laboratory equipment and workspaces.
  • Adhering to BIOVECTRA\xe2\x80\x99s Health and Safety Policy as outlined in CP0010 Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Statements of Principle, and Responsibilities.
  • Additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor\xe2\x80\x99s request.
The successful candidate for this position should have
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program.
