Position: Technical Lead (Database)
Location: 100% remote

Our client, a prop-tech scale-up based in New York is looking to hire a Technical Lead to join their product engineering team, ideal for individuals who have held senior roles such as Principal or Senior Software Engineer. This is a hands-on mentoring position which involves collaborating with software engineers, solution architects, and the product team to oversee the development and maintenance of our technology stack.The role requires extensive knowledge of Angular, React, Node.js, serverless technologies, and event-driven architecture to shape software development and mentor technical teams. Some of the key responsibilities include engineering leadership, code contribution, mentoring, effective communication, pod management, collaboration, problem-solving, driving innovation, and risk management.
Key Requirements:- Minimum of 9 years in software engineering, including 3 years in a tech leadership role managing technical teams.
- Proficient in full-stack development, focusing on React for front-end and Node.js for back-end solutions; experience with Angular and serverless architecture is a plus.
- Skilled in developing high-level technical designs and ensuring effective team delivery.
- Extensive cloud computing experience, particularly with AWS, and proficiency in event-driven and stream architectures (AWS Eventbridge, Kinesis).
- Strong understanding of design principles and architectural patterns, especially around serverless event-driven architectures.
- Familiar with serverless infrastructures (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito, SQS, Eventbridge, Kinesis).
- Experience in hybrid architectures, including low/no-code platforms (No Code Unqork), CRM configuration, and third-party SaaS integration.
- Proven expertise in complex integrations, including APIs, third-party services, and custom data connectors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, especially Product Management and QA.
- Motivated to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, balancing engineering best practices with speed of delivery.
