1. Hands on experience to FPGA design and development
2. Hands on experience in Systemverilog
3. Hands on experience in Python or C++ development
4. Hands on experience in debug of FPGA boards

1. Define the FPGA requirements based on the board specification.
2. Based on the requirements to select a FPGA device to fit the fpga speed and fpga resource requirements
3. Write a fpga specification to define the FPGA design and development
4. Based on specification to define time and fpga designer resource requirement. Most the time, it requires more than one designers.
5. FPGA development uses Systemverilog, Python or C++.
6. FPGA simulation environment uses Systemverilog or UVM depending the project requirement.
7. After FPGA passes simulation, a FPGA image is downloaded into the FPGA.
8. Test the FPGA on the board and debug it with software designers and board designers.
9. Nowadays, FPGA can have an Arm processor build-in, software is inside the FPGA. It makes FPGA design and development much more complex. (1.) Prepare and own detailed verification Plan including test strategy, TB architecture, methodologies to be followed, corner case scenarios, test coverage requirements etc (2.) Mentoring and guiding the team in solving tech. issues (3.) Allocating and tracking tasks (per schedule), CR or risk tracking, support PM in effective project management, coordination of weekly and other team meetings (4.) Conduct test scenarios' identification sessions and come up with a complete set of test plans and critical review of verification artifacts (5.) To prepare test plans for the module or interface owned by self and Coding of test cases as per test plans documented and functional simulation, debugging and fixing
