Your Opportunity:The Technical Lead Ambulatory position is a key leadership role directly related to the delivery of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Redevelopment Project. This position is responsible and accountable for providing direction, leadership and technical input into the project design, construction and commissioning in anticipation of handing the Ambulatory Building over to Capital Management FM&E staff for operation.The purpose is to represent AHS in all aspects of the project with respect to engineering, construction, infrastructure and commissioning activities. The Ambulatory Building is being delivered using a Public-Private Partnership (P3) model of project delivery. The position will be responsible for representing AHS in all aspects of delivering this project including the pursuit phase in selecting a successful candidate, the design and construction phase, the commissioning phase and culminating in the handover and move-in phase.Description:The technical lead will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in delivering the project including Alberta Infrastructure and is also responsible for: Technical and engineering support, with an emphasis design and construction, to ensure a high quality facility is delivered. Responsible for liaising with designers and constructors working for the project group lead by Alberta Infrastructure to ensure detailed design requirements and expectations are met. Providing a leadership role within Facilities Maintenance and Engineering as it relates to the integration of the Ambulatory Building with the Red Deer Regional Hospital (RDRH) site.

Required Qualifications:A minimum of post-secondary education with a baccalaureate degree or technical diploma in a relevant engineering or technical program. A minimum of 10 years of related experience in progressively responsible engineering or technical positions with demonstrated management skills and abilities combined with a background in complex healthcare facilities.
Additional Required Qualifications:As required.
