Technical Designer
to join our Vancouver team and play a crucial role in how we produce drawings and renderings to our clientele.

Responsibilities
Creating as-build drawings using AutoCAD and material submittals
Assisting in preparation of construction work plans, project planning and scheduling
Reviewing drawings and making changes based on field input from segment Project Managers and Project Engineers
Performing detailed quantity takeoffs for estimating purposes and/or to support progress claims during construction
Working within a team to model alternate scenarios and/or develop step by step construction plans and presentation materials
Support Architect / Designer to prepare drawings for construction/trade bids/trade installation/client presentation
Work closely with Interior Designer and Construction Project Manager to provide information as required, make modifications to existing drawings as required, to communicate changes and discrepancies to all applicable parties to ensure successful project completion
Collaborating with various department managers and consultants
Performing other related duties, as assigned or requested
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of interior design drafting experience
In-depth understanding of interior building code standards
Knowledge in cabinetry and millwork will be an asset
Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Interior Design will be an asset
Skills
Fluency in English with good communication and written skills
Excellent AutoCAD technical skills necessary to complete contract documents and ability to improve and maintain our systems for optimum ease in drawing coordination with other disciplines
Strong proficiency with Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and familiarity with presentation/rendering software
