You possess a combination of technical ability with an eye towards high visual fidelity. You can clearly articulate the capabilities and limitations of the technology to the Creative team while promoting the needs of artists and finding solutions to technical issues. You are recognized as a bridge between artists and engineers. You enjoy optimizing the art production pipeline to create great games and have fun while doing it.

In this role, you can expect to:

• Work closely and serve as a bridge between the artists, designers, engineers and the rest of the team to create and improve art production workflows, tools, pipelines, and asset optimization/integration.
• Identify creative solutions to facilitate the artistic vision within the technical limits.
• Developing pipelines, workflows and tools for the team.
• Contributing to rendering, shading techniques and processes.
• Researching and prototyping cutting-edge tools and rendering techniques.
• Establishing comprehensive documentation covering pipelines, tools, and procedures.

To be successful in this role, your background includes:

• 2+ years of development experience in Unity.
• Solid game industry experience, specifically in a technical artist role.
• Comfortable with troubleshooting artist technical problems.
• Familiarity with modeling/ texturing tools such as 3DS Max and Substance.
• Knowledge of art optimization techniques to ensure performance.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in Unity Scripting (C#).
• Experience with Unity lighting, Shader Graph, postprocessing and VFX.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Self-motivated, organized, curious and resourceful, with a good ability to self-manage.
• Team-oriented, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

$57,600 - $86,400 a year

This salary range is specific to candidates located in Quebec. The salary of the successful candidate will vary within this range based on their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
