About Our Opportunity
We are looking for someone that thrives on delivering strategic and innovative solutions. As a member of the SAP Technology transformation team within the SAP Modernization Program, the Technical Architect is responsible for the SAP architecture services and works with the SAP technology transformation team, SAP service management team, alternate service provider, SAP support services, NSDS infrastructure operations and NSDS CAB, ARB teams to deliver an efficient and effective service to NSRECE/CSAP, NSHEALTH/IWK and Province of Nova Scotia proper and municipal SAP clients.
Reporting to the Manager of Technology Transformation the Technical Architect will ensure that proper attention is placed on the people, process, technology, and business aspects of the Program, and develops and enforces support methodologies, models, roadmaps, and standards by streamlining and creating innovative solutions.
The ideal candidate will be a contributor that cares and supports their team through their career development, promotes engagement and supports diversity and a healthy workplace. The Technical Architect will network and engage through regular contact with the technology transformation management team, program executives, business leads, vendors and other project management professionals to discuss operations and project requirements, operations and project issues, proliferate the use of standards and processes.
Qualifications and Experience
A post-secondary degree in Business, Computer Science or Public Administration plus a minimum of three-years relevant experience in Information technology or an acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience.
The ideal candidate will have the following work experience:
-An understanding of vendor licensing agreements for technical landscapes, including Cloud hosted agreements
-ERP application architecture, system administration, ERP and associated infrastructure security experience in an SAP hybrid environment
-Privacy Impact and Treat Risk assessment experience
-SAAS and IAAS support understanding and/or experience for a variety of ERP solutions.
-System Change Management experience for ERP and associated infrastructure.
-Experience in managing several diverse SAP Platforms and landscapes concurrently.
-Change management through evidence of client / customer focused behavior with attention to quality and accuracy.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and equally with business and technical subject matter experts.
-Ability to establish and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers, clients, and a broad range of stakeholders.
-Ability to navigate complex and often conflicting situations is necessary in this environment.
-Strong problem solving, analytical and facilitation ability.
-Work with minimal supervision, have a high degree of accuracy, and make good business decisions.
-Functional knowledge with Power point, Visio or other architecture design tools, SharePoint and understanding of public and private cloud infrastructure support.
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
The following would be considered an asset:
-Worked in an SAP support services organization
-Worked with a system integrator supported organization.
-Experience with SAP One Support Launchpad (SAP Marketplace), maintaining installations, system definition and user accounts.
