Activate is a technology company known for creating Canada's first full-scale interactive gaming experience. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Technical & Operations Trainer. The Technical & Operations Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating training programs across Activate Operations. This role ensures both employees and partners are equipped with the technical and operational knowledge required to drive Activate's success.

The Duties and Responsibilities

:



Training Development and Planning



Develop and implement tailored training programs by region and role, aligned with company goals, position requirements, and local business needs. Identify critical technical competencies and operational best practices required to ensure role readiness and drive high performance. Collaborate with Learning & Development Specialist to conceptualize and design training through appropriate channels (LMS, instructor-led, or otherwise). Partner with Operations and Operations Excellence to collect updates to maintain knowledge and deliver relevant training. Proficiency with technical systems including reading schematics, troubleshooting software applications, and understanding basic electrical/hardware applications within Activate systems. Collect reporting and analyze effectiveness of training programs; recommend necessary improvements based on findings. Set measurable goals for training to track and report on progress quarterly.



Training Facilitation



Lead training for New Store Openings and new hire onboarding across corporate stores in Canada and the US. Coordinate all aspects for a training session by preparing spaces, training/learner materials, schedule, and participant details. Adapt training delivery to accommodate diverse learner needs and experience. Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and completion rates. Share learner reports with Leaders to reinforce and support learnings on-the-job applications.



The Qualifications:





2-3 years in related field Post-secondary certification Ability to work irregular hours as required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Quick learner, comfortable adapting often to dynamic situations Strong presentation skills and the ability to engage learners Experience in managing and coordinating technical projects Ability to adapt to new technologies Highly organized with strong attention to detail Bilingual (English/French) preferred
