Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Adhere to all food industry regulations and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures required
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
We are a fraternal not-for-profit organization that supports multiple community groups in the Sarnia area. Our ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working in a volunteer environment and in coordination with our Social Quarters staff.
