Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the efficient operation of our cafe. This role requires a blend of culinary skills, sales acumen, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing. Engage with customers to provide outstanding service, including upselling menu items to enhance their dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to sanitation guidelines. Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Assist in food handling and preparation tasks, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours in a quick-service or fast-food restaurant setting. Perform bussing duties as needed to maintain a clean dining environment for guests.

Skills

Proven culinary experience in food preparation and kitchen operations. Familiarity with Aloha POS and Micros POS systems is preferred but not mandatory. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment. Sales skills with an emphasis on upselling menu items to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations within the food industry. Experience in cashiering and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is advantageous, including retail math proficiency.
