Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle cash and credit transactions in a fast-paced environment. A background in food service is preferred, as you will also assist with food handling and preparation.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy. Maintain knowledge of menu items to effectively upsell products. Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards. Keep the cashier area clean and organized, following health and safety regulations. Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure quick service. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently. Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
