CALLING ALL GTA-Based Financial Professionals!

Join our busy and growing Financial Advisory practice in our beautiful West End Toronto office near High Park!

Our office requires another team member to start as soon as possible to help us succeed in our mission of delivering top flight financial planning and investment management through great client experience. Our immediate goals are to increase our bandwidth, to continue to serve our existing client base with the excellent service they've come to expect, and to expand our practice capacity and scope for all of our new and existing clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person looking for growth, stimulation, excitement, and long-term professional fulfillment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2, and ideally at least 5 years of experience working in the investment or financial industry in service and/or team-based roles. Administrative, technical, professional, and analytical skills are all necessary to succeed in this position, and we will work with you to augment and refine those skills you have already built. While full training will be provided, this is not an admin support role long-term. The goal is to have a full-fledged team member who can do everything we do: deal with all of our clients one-on-one, scout opportunities for our business, find and onboard new business, and build their own business long-term, in partnership with us.

That means acquiring and/or reactivating your mutual funds license for sure, and insurance license potentially too, within one year max of starting.

This is a small business that is growing fast, so while there is huge opportunity, you must be ready to wear many hats. There's no "that's not my job" here. However, the momentum is very strong and you are coming into what is already a strong team with good working conditions, so you will have all the foundation and tools you need to succeed in place. What you will bring to the role:

-Canadian Securities Course or Mutual Funds License

-Strong grasp of Financial Planning concepts, the competitive environment we operate in, and the Canadian investment & retirement landscape is a big asset

-Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of small business, entrepreneurship, accounting, insurance, and taxes would all be considered very good assets

-Willingness to network, do business development, take risks, and deal with all kinds of people and personalities - the behavioural aspect of our job is the most challenging but it is also the most interesting!

-Ability to collaborate and work on a team

-This job WILL require SOME travel and face-to-face client interaction - not all the time but sometimes, and likely more eventually than at the beginning - so flexibility is a must! Travel is 99% within Southern Ontario, going as far as Ottawa and Montreal.

-Bilingualism in French and English is a strong asset but not required

-48-61k base pay to start, depending on skills & experience, commission + bonus TBD
