Purpose: This is to define the duties and responsibilities of a Team Lead for the Vaudreuil Facility. Working Conditions: Hours will be 40 hours a week, 8 hours shifts Monday to Friday (3pm to 11pm). Occasionally work maybe required outside of \xe2\x80\x9cnormal\xe2\x80\x9d work hours. The function requires shop floor work environments. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work to Health & Safety, Hygiene, and housekeeping procedures within the workplace.
- Ensure Quality standards are met for all production on site
- Support the Plant Management in all aspects of machine production/shift efficiency,
- Perform and enforce the necessary disciplinary policies and procedures & Attendance Management
- Maintaining a positive work environment
- Organize and direct manpower provided to operate the facility in an organized and efficient manner
- Line changes completed within or less than maximum specified timelines
- Complete and ensure all reporting and paperwork systems are updated for production and human resource related documentation
- Complete all production paperwork before leaving facility
- Always operate shift in a clean productive manner
- Material utilization in a cost effective timely manner
- Provide support for project development, cost reduction projects and trials (i.e. light Repair, retrofit component parts, etc.)
- Complete all maintenance tasks required for the Team Leader
- Ensure all equipment is in a functional condition
- Troubleshooting (Numerical, Pneumatics, etc.)
- Maintain and organization, supply and condition of tools and toolbox
- Attend team lead and production meetings where necessary
- Perform any reasonable task specified by Management
- Strong mechanical experience is required, min. 5 years working with industrial production machinery/equipment.
- Experienced in managing a team of machine operators, quality, and forklift drivers.
- SAP experience an asset
- Fully able to use all Microsoft office applications.
- Must be able to read and understand written specification and instructions
- Must be able to demonstrate \xe2\x80\x9chands on\xe2\x80\x9d working approach with regards to mechanical principles
- Be able to work well under pressure
- Work with others and give directions as required
- Perform routine tasks, while remaining alert and flexible
- Problem solve and suggest alternatives as required
- Work steadily and safely in a fast-paced environment
