THE ROLE
As a Team Leader, you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You deal with customer concerns or complaints to ensure customer satisfaction and authorize refunds, voids, and returns. You hold keys, safe combinations, and access codes, and open and close the store as required. You supervise employees. The Team Leader may also provide a variety of other retail services, including: regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, and postal services. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine, and maintain a float. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses An acceptable combination of education, training, AND experience AND Food Handling Certification, as required Experience In cash handling In personnel administration In visual merchandising In food and beverage preparation and service, as required Competencies, Skills and Abilities Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

OTHER INFORMATION
CANEX operates 36 retail, convenience and grocery stores located on Bases, Wings and Units across Canada with two retail stores in Europe under the NATEX brand. CANEX provides mess kits and specialized tactical gear to support military members and ensures that families have access to consumer goods and services in the community they are posted. Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg).
