Join Yuustway Health & Wellness as a Primary Care Registered Nurse Team Lead. This role is vital in supporting the health and wellness of Sk?wx?wu?7mesh community members by delivering high-quality, culturally grounded primary care. You will play a key role in patient care, clinical leadership, and program development--bridging traditional, holistic, and Western approaches to health while ensuring safe, accessible, and community-centered services.
As the first point of contact for the nursing team, you will provide comprehensive direct patient care, guide and mentor nurses, and collaborate with leaders to improve care delivery. Your work will directly impact the Nation's long-term goal of empowering individuals and families to live in health, from birth through to end of life.
What You'll Do
------------------
Deliver full-scope nursing services including assessments, treatment planning, immunizations, phlebotomy, chronic disease management, opioid agonist therapy prescribing, and health promotion.
Provide urgent care within scope, modify treatment plans as needed, and collaborate with physicians, NPs, and holistic care team members to ensure culturally safe care.
Support patients with referrals to internal and external health services, traditional wellness, and community resources.
Act as direct supervisor and mentor to the primary care nursing team.
Support practice development, orientation, clinical decision-making, and professional growth.
Work with the Primary Care Manager and Medical Director to resolve workflow and clinical challenges.
Promote collaboration, teamwork, and conflict resolution across the interdisciplinary team.
Collaborate with leadership to design and improve programs that respond to patient population needs.
Contribute to protocol development, clinical guidelines, and health promotion initiatives.
Identify trends and opportunities to improve patient outcomes and access to services.
Maintain accurate patient records and reports aligned with best practice standards.
Apply approved triage standards and safe critical-thinking practices.
Perform additional duties as required.
What We're Looking For

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Registered and in good standing with the BCCNM.
Certified Practice Nurse designation highly desirable.
Willingness to complete ongoing training and upgrades relevant to nursing and community health.
Experience in Indigenous health, rural or remote health, or OAT (Opioid Agonist Therapy) prescribing considered an asset.
Experience with EMRs and community-based wellness programs.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with cultural humility.
Demonstrated knowledge of harm reduction, wound care, STI screening, HIV/HCV testing, pregnancy and urine drug testing, and chronic disease management.
Resourceful, adaptable, and able to maintain composure under pressure.
Team-oriented with a supportive, approachable leadership style.

Salary:
$75,000 - $112,500
