SACLA is hiring for two Team Leader II positions, with an opportunity to work in one of three departments: Housing, Mobile and Contracting

Summary:
The Team Leader II will be responsible for providing direction to front-line staff in the delivery of support for people with disabilities. Key responsibilities of this position are to foster team building, provide effective leadership within a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment, and ensuring a high level of service deliveries and services. The Team Leader II will be required to work closely with people, families, guardians, frontline staff and management to assist in the development and implementation of personized services. This includes ensuring application of policies, procedures and initiatives, with daily responsibility for staff scheduling and operations.

Job Duties
Provide leadership and supervision to frontline support staff/contractors while planning and implementing according to the goals and aspirations of the person. This includes schedule development, monitoring, and providing direct services as required.
Complete annual planning and required annual documentation for services to people with disabilities.
Complete and monitor daily and monthly reporting requirements.
Monitor the implementation of annual planning and relevant supporting documents (PSPs, Behavior Support Plans, etc) for people to help fulfill their goals, objectives and aspirations, leading to a high quality of life.
Responsible for file maintenance and ensuring up to date information is available regarding the people SACLA supports.
Actively engage and mentor support staff/contractors to model conduct aligned with the culture, values, Collective Agreement, policies and procedures of SACLA.
Maintain updated and accurate information in MyCompass.
Communicate and gather information effectively in a variety of settings including one-on-one with staff and in team meetings.
Attend, participate and lead case management meetings as required, ensuring support staff/contractors involvement as required.
Participate in new hire orientation and onboarding. Acting as a mentor and consultant to new employees.
Ensure regular front-line staff supervision and annual performance evaluations are conducted.
Conduct monthly home visits with contractors and monitor respite coverage (if applicable).
Coordinate assigned support staff/contractor training requirements.
Educate others and adhering with all Health & Safety Provincial and Federal regulations and Association Health & Safety policies and practices.
Requirements:
A positive attitude and belief that persons with disabilities have the right and responsibility to define and pursue their life choices.
Proven effective leadership.
Patience, flexibility, time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
3-5 years of work experience in a related field.
2 years Diploma in Human Services field from a recognized institution is preferred.
1-2 years of supervisory experience is preferred
Medium level computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and strong reporting skills.
A valid Class 5 drivers license; access to a reliable vehicle.
Mandatory training (First Aid & CPR, NVCI, Positive Behavior Supports, Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol, Medication Administration).
Work Conditions:
Interacts with people, guardians, family members, staff, visitors, stakeholders and government agencies.
Intermittent physical activity including but not limited to walking, standing, sitting, lifting and transferring.
Travel may be required.
On-call as required.
Overtime as required.
May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.
Ability to work at a desk for extended periods of time
Ability to work in homes and the community for long periods of time
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
