The Sales Compensation Team Lead will report to the Senior Manager Corporate Retail Sales Compensation Delivery and will support the Compensation Delivery Team within the HR Total Rewards department of Rogers Communications Inc. Compensation Delivery is responsible for the set-up, calculation, payment and reporting of Commissions for various channels and roles. The successful candidate will leverage leadership, analytical, customer service, organization and business acumen skills to help complete daily, weekly and monthly activities to ensure compensation Service Level is met.
Responsibilities:

  • Participate and Lead in the analysis of business requirements for compensation and sales incentive payments to provide assessment on impact, data and changes required to support requested changes.
  • Work with SQL Server databases and stored procedures to support sales compensation plans for various channels.
  • Build and test new compensation plan and rules in CallidusCloud to support Compensation changes.
  • Migrating of manual processes to Callidus for automated calculation.
  • Build validation rules, processes and controls to ensure data accuracy.
  • Analyze sales data and compensation results to ensure accurate payments
  • Work in close partnership with the IT teams and business teams to address system issues, close process gaps and implement proactive system solutions to reduce internal gaps
  • Participate in the development of new processes and improvements to existing ones
  • Discovery and design of new reports and compensation statements; ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Maintain SQL databases that aggregate multiple data sources for cross platform analysis
  • Manage and provide guidance to Jr. Analyst within the team.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Secondary Education Degree/Diploma in related field
  • Ability to take business requirements and develop solid analytic methodologies to support requirements. This requires a solid understanding of the business and the ability to decipher and translate business requirements into data and analytics requirements.
  • Advance level of knowledge in SQL \xe2\x80\x93importing and exporting of data, writing SQL query scripts to analyst data from across DB and Tables. This includes working with large transactional data sets and the ability to build optimized queries for compensation metrics and payouts.
  • Knowledge of Vision 21, SGI and Maestro systems is a definite asset.
  • Telecom Industry or sales commission experience preferred
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and take on lead roles in new initiatives
  • Ability to work on and manage multiple assignments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skill.
  • Reaction to changes and flexibility are paramount. Detail oriented

Technical Skills:
  • Microsoft Excel \xe2\x80\x93 advanced experience creating formulas, pivot-tables, macros, charts/graphs, VBA,
  • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint \xe2\x80\x93 intermediate/advanced knowledge.
  • SQL scripting \xe2\x80\x93 advanced experience completing data extraction, report building, data-mining and validation
  • CallidusCloud \xe2\x80\x93 Rules building and reference set up, building of reports using the native Callidus functions is a must.
