The Departments of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Emergency Medicine, within the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, are growing research and education-focused Departments. All three Departments have fully accredited Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada residency programs.
Position Summary
The Team Lead, Medical Education in the Departments of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Emergency Medicine provides leadership and supervision to a team of medical education administrators responsible for three accredited residency programs with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
This position works directly with the Program Directors and Program Administrators to continuously improve the Postgraduate Residency Programs within the Departments of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Emergency Medicine, and collaborates closely with department leadership. The Team Lead monitors all residency postgraduate learning activities in the Departments and acts as a primary source of information relating to postgraduate medical education.
The Team Lead assists team members in understanding assigned roles and performance objectives and strives to build a collaborative team through guidance, training, and mentorship. As the senior technical expert on the team, the team lead serves as the point of contact for inquiries and escalations while optimizing program/service and operational performance.
